Summertime is the time to be out and about but it is EVEN more important to be sure to have your sunglasses on to protect your eyes from UV RAYS!
Health.com states: "Make sure your shades have 100% UV protection to filter both UVA and UVB rays—this is the most important thing you can do to save your eyes."
Normally when we think of sun damage we think of the skin BUT the sun can be really be threatening to the human eye and the delicate skin around it.
There are two different types of UV Rays as Health.com stated.
UVA is connected to the retina which can cause long term damage to the eye and UVB is connected to the ozone layer and for short term can cause "snow blindness."
It important to acknowledge your eyes and care for them the way they look out for you.
